As many of you know, our puppy Molly needed to go in for surgery on her eye recently. That surgery went well enough, except that we just happen to have the 1 dog in a thousand that has a adverse reaction to the suchers (or is it sutures?) that they used to stitch her up with. That caused her to have to have another surgery to remove the said irritation.
Despite the complications she is doing just fine and her eye is almost completely back to normal. She may at a future date, need to have the original surgery redone, but for now she is just fine!
Yeah!!!

To worry or not to worry...
That is the question!
Molly (our 6mo old weimeraner puppy) has what's called cherry eye. Her breed of dog don't usually get it but she got stung by bees several times when she was younger and had a bad reaction and so it made her tear duct/third eyelid/thingy stick out. It's not serious now but it could get serious so we are taking her to get surgery on Tuesday morning...
So like the dog mom that i am, i am worried. We have a good vet and i am sure that everything will go well.... maybe i should just not worry about being worried. Less stress that way, or so i hear:)

an update...
As this semester comes to a close ( and boy are we ready for it!) Chris and i are making plans for the holidays! Yeah Holidays!
Thanksgiving will be spent in Oregon with his family. Road trip starts on Nov 22nd (in the afternoon) and we'll be back on the next Saturday...
Chris is in ward choir with me! it's amazing and i didn't even have to bribe him or anything.
I just got called to be the Young Women's president. Yeah! It's a little intimidating because this is a particularly difficult ward for the youth (a lot of inactive youth, and a lot of youth with learning disabilities) but i am sure the Lord will help me out.
Back to the holidays... Chris and i will be spending Christmas in Idaho Falls with my family.
I'm thinking that we'll throw our own New Year's Eve Party at our house, but that has yet to be determined!
Molly is growing up so fast! It's so much fun to have a puppy. The only problem is that they are so expensive!
OH! i started an art blog on my website (see previous entry for web address) so check it out! I've only got two posts on there right now... but you'll enjoy it i'm sure.
well... I've got to get to class... Yipee!

AHHHHH!
School starts on Tuesday and i am out of my mind!
i don't have a job anymore... Convergys and i had to part ways:( but i am re-hire-able so i can go back anytime i need to. The schedule wasn't working out. I'd have to work on sundays and my schedule was a variable schedule which basically means they could have me on the schedule during a class... i didn't think that would be good for my grades:)
i just got back from boston (will post pictures later) where we had a lovely time. Chris and i went with my mom and sister. The only bad thing that happened the whole trip was that i got some form of food poisoning and ended up spending 15hours in a hospital instead of getting to go to my cousins wedding:( She has it on video and she said that she'd send me a copy (you better AK!) Other than that the trip was awesome. I spent too much money... as always on vacation right?
then we come home and the dryer is broken and it is going to cost the same to repair it as it will to just buy a new one so we had to buy a new dryer.
and then we come back to school starting on Tuesday. Such a weird day to start classes! on a Tuesday! What happens to the monday classes? Do they disappear into the oblivian of missed classes and holiday weekends? and that is where my mind has left me.
For the most part we are doing well. We have enough food. We have enough money to pay the bills. We have more than enough love to go around! It's just that unknown little bit like, "What's going to break down next?" that is a little unnerving!

I'm losing my mind!
oh, wait... i've never had my mind to begin with!
sorry just freaking out a little bit... school starts in a week (it's actually more like 10 days) , i don't love my job (but i don't hate it either), chris is gone (but he'll be back) and i'm in an old house that was built in the 1920's that creaks everytime the wind blows all by myself!
the good news is i that i had time to weed and mow my front lawn today... it was quite hot... and difficult might i add. Chris and i don't have a conventional mower. Have you ever seen in the old movies and some choice cartoons ( i think doug funny had one) those old non-gas, non-electric, push and spinny-aroundy type mowers? It's basically a gear with blades attatched in such a fashion that it cuts grass with out the use of a motor... quite facinating really. And boy is it hard work! the good news is that my front yard is no longer a jungle and i am now just a little sunburnt!
on another note of good news... I have strawberries! my (Chris and i's) garden is home to many different delicious fruit and veggie plants and one of those just happens to be the strawberry. Yesterday when i went to check on our little piece of heaven i noticed green lumpy things hanging out of where flowers used to be! I will have strawberries out of my own garden this year! it's so exciting!
anyways it's far to late for me to actually be awake... so i'm going to sleep now... maybe i'll post some pics of my house and yard tomorrow... yes i think i will!
lata!

the wedding the honeymoon and the aftermath...

February 21st found Chris and i at a chapel on Quinn and Hawthorne making vows to love each other unconditionally for the rest of our lives and then some! Here are just a few pictures and highlights from that glorious day!

Best friends and family supported us well... there were lots of laughs and lots of good times had...

This was the night before! We all stayed up till 3am painting our nails, talking and eating cookie dough... lots of girly fun!

The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was rockin'! Everything went so smoothly. And then it was time to leave...

next came the honeymoon... almost exactly a month after the actual wedding(on spring break), Chris and i drove to Umatilla, Oregon (that's where his family lives)and had an open house there... yeah for more time spent with his family and for more presents and for more good food! (not in any particular order!
from there we drove across the top of Oregon and stopped at Multonomah Falls. Absolutely gorgeous! there were some other scenic pull outs that we stopped at as well...
next we headed to Mt. Hood. We planned on camping there for the night but our plans were foiled! There was five or six feet of snow on the ground and Chris and i decided to head farther south and get warm... after all this is our honeymoon and we're supposed to be somewhere warm right? Right!
so south we headed to the Redwoods in California. we spent two days there hiking around and mountain biking. We even went to the beach! it was warmer there but not quite warm enough yet!
we spent all day driving down to the L.A. area to visit some of my family... Aunt Lisa, your house was one of my favorite stops the whole trip! We also got to spend an hour or two with my Grandma Angela. Memories i'll never forget.
Chris and i hit the road again. This is the coolest sign ever! We saw it on the road to Las Vegas!
Chris' Grandma has a time share in Vegas so we got one night there free! We found a really authentic Philipino restaurant for dinner and then we went to the strip. It wasn't anything too special but we had a good time.
The last (and warmest) stop on the road was Zion National Park. In a word--breathtaking. The first day we drove through the park and just looked. We found a trail and hiked it, took some pictures... wow. the second day we woke up early and decided to hike Angel's Landing... (speechless face) there are no words to describe the ankle-wrenching, nerve-racking, breath-taking, vertigo-inducing, awe-inspiring trail/view/experience that is Angel's Landing! ( i guess there are some words!)
and then we went home, got some rest (a vacation from our vacation) and got right back in to the swing of things. i work, chris goes to school, we spend time working on our house (Chris just built me a kitchen table... yes built!) and on our garden. as of right now... taxes are done, i have to request transcripts and Chris is preparing for finals... work is going well and Chris is looking forward to going to medic school this summer with the National Guard. Things are going well!

married life is great!
nothin's better than the feeling that all may not be right in the world but as long as you have someone to share in all the joys and sorrows with you'll be alright... that's how i have felt since chris and i got married last saturday. it's been one full week and it's been a very good week:-)
pictures are coming soon... i just have to upload them to my computer and the hard part right now is finding the time to do it! between work and chris and changing my name and all that paperwork with that not to mention taxes and fafsa and registering for school... i'm quite busy... but i also couldn't be happier:-)
three words.... life is good!
